Asbestos Awareness Training

Delegates

All staff whose work may bring them into contact with Asbestos containing materials. Maintenance workers, and those who supervise and plan their work.

Maximum of 15 per session

Objectives

To give delegates an understanding of the dangers of Asbestos and how to avoid exposing themselves and others to those dangers.

Instructor

Your instructor has 20 years experience of training in this subject
is a qualified Asbestos Surveyor and
is a member of both the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) and the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATP) both are organisations dedicate to excellence in asbestos training.
Courses are tailored for each individual customer and can include company policies and procedures as required.

Content

Introduction to asbestos: what is it, and why is it so useful and so common.
Asbestos and your health why it is dangerous and the diseases it causes.
Asbestos containing materials and their likely location within buildings.
Asbestos the law and Asbestos registers.
Emergency procedures.
Questions and answers.
